Childbirth & Breastfeeding Education Classes

These classes are taught by certified childbirth educators. The classes will be a series of 3 two hour classes. The classes offered include what to expect during labor, breastfeeding, postpartum care and newborn care. These classes allow you to get answers to any questions and/or concerns you have about the start of your new family. Residents of any town may participate.

Home Visits

A nurse will visit you and your new baby within 24 hours of your return home. At this time you will be offered the opportunity to receive one visit each day for the first week. Our nurse will tailor visits to meet the needs of you and your baby.

Support Groups

Groups will be developed based on the needs of the new mothers and newborns involved in the program. We understand that a new baby can be overwhelming and we are available to provide guidance and reassurance to you during your transition to parenthood. New moms can meet to discuss breastfeeding, infant care, and post-partum depression.

Complimentary Welcome Basket

Each new family will be provided with a "welcome basket" that contains some of the essential items needed to transition into parenthood.
